Relationships. Knowledge. Experience.
Anchored in Retail
With Rob and Sue both coming from the world of retail fashion, we’re in a unique position to having experienced many of the pressures that retailers often find themselves under which provides valuable insights when working with our brands.
Relationships are Key
Our experience has taught us that relationships are key in retail property. We are looking to development long term relationships with our brands which means making smart decisions on every leasing deal – there is little point opening a store if it’ll close after the lease term nor is it good business to have to negotiate early exits. We are focused on the success of our retail brands because it is the only way we can be successful in the long term.
Rob started his career in with his father, uncle and grandfather with his first exposure in jeans manufacturing when The Hartman Group acquired Amco Jeans Co. Unfortunately manufacturing had its challenges in Australia and as manufacturing moved offshore, Rob moved into retail working with Brian Rochford with his swimwear label before becoming the Managing Director of Osh Kosh B’gosh before moving into general consulting and eventually Property Consulting.
Meanwhile Sue had become a pattern maker which included resizing clothing designs she then managed a number of Brian Rockford stores. After briefly (a decade or two) raising 5 children, she also opened a local kids stores “Max & Millie” in St Ives before joining Rob in the family business.
